WACE, the only international organization devoted to promoting cooperative & work-integrated education, is proud to present this Institute on Global and Experiential Education, located in the heart of picturesque Cape Ann, Massachusetts. This WACE program is unique in that it is team-based and adapted through pre-Institute consultations to best serve the Institute participants present at any given Institute. Our outstanding Institute Faculty are carefully selected seasoned WACE affiliates from all around the globe and from various disciplines, types of programs, and types of institutions, which allows the Institute to foster the diverse participation it attracts.

DEVELOPING YOUR PLAN

The Institute is designed for teams to develop a strategic plan that strengthens their efforts in advancing student success through a range of specially tailored global and experiential education programs. Our work with your team begins with pre-Institute consultations and includes intensive work with your team during the Institute and follow-up consultations after the Institute. Plan Development includes:

• A curriculum of plenary sessions and group discussions shaped through pre-Institute consultations to address your specifi c goals and challenges
  
  
• Institute Team Facilitator(s) to work exclusively with your team in developing your plan and implementation strategies
  
  
• Interaction with other teams, Institute Faculty, and dedicated Team Facilitator(s) to discuss best practices and research at your institution, and to discuss and evaluate your
  plan as it evolves during the Institute
  
  
• Consultations with Institute Faculty to address specific challenges in global and experiential education at your institution
• 
  Final presentation of your plan followed by discussion and feedback from all Institute participants

PART TWO
Submit your team’s application to Richard Porter via email. Within three weeks of Richard receiving your application, you will receive confirmation from the Institute Organizing Committee regarding your acceptance. A follow-up phone call will be scheduled by Richard to discuss your team’s participation in the Institute.

The 2011 Institute reached maximum capacity by early April. Early applications are encouraged, as space is limited, so please act promptly.

PRICE
The registration price is $2,950 per person.
For this price, team members will enjoy the following during the Institute:

• lodging for four nights at the Essex Conference Center & Retreat (http://www.eccr.com) located in Cape Ann
  
• tuition
  
• team facilitator(s)
  
• consultations with Institute Faculty
  
• all meals, including a New England Lobsterbake
  

Team members will also enjoy the following support before and after the Institute:

• pre-Institute consultation / site visit by an Institute Faculty Member
  to your institution (within continental North America)
  
• if your institution is located outside continental North America,
  a comprehensive teleconference will be scheduled, or an Institute Faculty
  Member within your region (if available) will conduct the pre-Institute visit
  
• post-Institute teleconference

PAYMENT DEADLINES

An invoice will be sent upon your Team’s acceptance into the Institute.

Payment in full should be received by May 15, 2012.

Please note that all registration fees are nonrefundable but can be transferred to other members of your institution.
