The Journal of Cooperative Education and Internships

The Journal of Cooperative Education and Internships (JCEI) is the leading international forum for the discussion of issues pertinent to work-integrated learning through cooperative education, internships and other experiential programs.  Researchers and practitioners will find these resources helpful and timely as we strive to disseminate research, best practice, and innovation in work-based learning.  JCEI is the flagship publication of the Cooperative Education and Internship Association in full-partnership with the World Association of Cooperative Education.  Our organizations are committed in providing the best resources, both current and archived, on experiential learning.

Welcome!

The editors of the Journal of Cooperative Education and Internships welcome you to the redesigned, on-line home of the Journal.  Here you will find the most recent, leading articles on work-integrated learning; plus, a searchable archive containing JCE and JCEI volumes 1 to 36.  In addition, we are assembling resources from regional and international conferences on co-op and internships, specifically proceedings or program highlights so you can search for information to assist you in developing your program or your research agenda. Book reviews will be solicited each year and will be posted and archived. 

You will notice that for each new volume of the Journal two issues run simultaneously.  Issue Number 1 always contains research-based articles and Issue Number 2 contains articles about theory and practice.  This format should save you time when searching for pertinent articles.  Members of CEIA and WACE and subscribers to the Journal have access to the full text of all papers from the current and archived Journal.  Guests have limited access to the journal; they may search and view abstracts from the current and archived issues.   Guests have full access to book reviews and the proceedings section of the web site.  Contact CEIA or WACE for membership or Journal subscription information.

We solicit both research and practice based manuscripts for publication.  The process is very easy.  Just follow the author instructions and submit your articles on-line. Our promise is to work as quickly as possible to review and publish your paper, if accepted.
